Swimming….

In The Pool..

So I went in today to have Pete time me again. Once again with the mindset that I’m sure there won’t be much difference.

Remembering that I was averaging 2.15mins per 100m and 60sec per 50metres…

These were my times from the 26th of May

1st 100m = 200.1

2nd 100m =2.01.3

1st 50m = 56.3

2nd 50m = 53.2

Today I timed in at…..

1st 100m = 1:55.00

Ist 50m = 51.81

2nd  50m = 53.78

I didn’t manage the second 100m this time, I went and threw up instead. I thought that nauseous, that wanting to throw up feeling was just on land when you push your body past all your boundaries and give it everything you’ve got.. apparently not =) haha

I think I am progressing up the ladder a little each time. I am assuming this is going to be a little like weight loss. You have a big drop to start with then it starts to get harder and harder. Check me out now. My turtle speed is increasing! Maybe just maybe I can do this!! =) I’m not a sleepy turtle any more. haha. Still not super fast but I feel like I have improved so much.

You have picked up 20 second on your 100m time, that’s awesome! Man I struggle to pick up a few seconds! You are right, big gains at first, then you’ll get to my speed and the gains will slow down. But it’s still worth it :) Swimming is a great way to keep fit. Our pool here in chch opens again tomorrow morning so I get to go for my first swim of the week, yay!
